최근 둘사이의 범주에해당하는 기기가 어떤것이냐는 문제가 제기됬다 

새로운 범주의 어떤기기가 생기려면 특정작업들에 대해서 기존기기들보다 뛰어난 능력을 발휘해야한다 

어떤 사람들은 세번째기기가 넷북이라고 생각한다 

문제는 넷북이 어떤작업에 대해서도 뛰어나지 못하다는것이다(웃음) 

그건 느리고 저질화면에 pc소프트웨어를 쓴다 

그래서 그것을 세번째 범주의 기기라고 생각하지 않는다 

우리는 새로운 어떤것을 만들엇고 그것을 ...아이패드라고 부른다. 

so now lets get to the main event

this was the first modern laptop computer

apple actually invented modern laptop computer in this powerbook

first laptop with TFTscreen. the first modern LCDscreen

It's the first laptop push the keyboard upgrading palmrest

and intergreated pointing device. In this case trackball

Well of course twenty years later. We'ven got incredible laptops now

Just few years ago 2007. Apple reinvented the phone, the iPhone.

and a few years later. We've got iPhone3GS. Best phone in the world

And so all of us use laptop and smartphones now

Everybody's use laptop an영d or smartphones.

and a question has reason lately 

Is there room for third category of device in the middle? 

Something that between a laptop and a smartphone

And of course we found this question for years well

The bars pretty high.

In order to really create new category of device

Most devices gone a have far better at doing some key task 

——and have to be far better doing some really important thing

Better than a laptop. better than a smartphone

What kind of tasks?

Well. things like a browsing a web. That's pretty tall order.

Something that better browsing a web than a laptop?

Doing E-mail. Enjoying and sharing photograph

Video, Watching video. enjoyong your masic collection.

Enjoying games. reading ebooks

there gonna be a third category of devices

It's gonna have to be better and this kinds of task. than a laptop or smartphone

otherwise It has no reason to be.

Now some people have thought. that's a netbook 

The problem is netbook aren't better than anything(laugh) 

There slow, they have low quality display and funky pc software 

So there not better than a laptop and anything. 

there just cheaper. Just cheap laptop.

and we don't think theirs third category of devices 

and think we got something that is. and like to show to you today first time

and We call it ….(boom) the iPad.
